HESSAPP

Hessapp has been building vertical turning machines since 1954 and is widely known as a pioneer in the field of vertical turning. In continuation of this tradition, Hessapp was one of the first turning machine manufacturers to apply motorized spindles when developing the DVH series of self-loading vertical turning machines in the early 90s.
In contrast with the vertical turning machine concept used by Hessapp since 1954, the tooling system of the DVH series is stationary and mounted on the machine frame while the spindle slide moves in the x axis to pick up the part to be machined from a conveyor and presents it to the tooling system.
Based upon the experience that most "flat" rotary parts require machining of 2 sides, Hessapp took vertical turning yet a step further by combining their traditional stationary spindle with the self-load concept. Thus, a vertical turning system called DVT (T for Transfer) was created that allows to machine both sides of a part in 2 operations without a turn-over device. This machine concept is, of course, patented and a unique Hessapp product.
But this is not the end of Hessapp's continued efforts to offer their customers optimal solutions for their manufacturing needs.
Twin-spindle machines were the next addition to Hessapp's family of vertical turning machines to be used in large batch production, followed in 2003 by a 4-axes self-loading DVH 450 4X, the first 4-axis inverted spindle vertical turning machine in the world.
